This solar panel weighs 50 percent less by replacing the glass with plastic

The solar panels of Solarge from Eindhoven are so light that many more can be placed on a roof than is currently the case.

For a long time, this was considered impossible because plastic does not behave in the same way as glass. But with Dutch plastic expertise, it worked. And now the start-up So large is on the verge of mass-producing lightweight solar panels.
